On the way to our next boondocking site, we came across this amazing lake. Lake Koocanusa is a reservoir in British Columbia (Canada) and Montana formed by the damming of the Kootenay River by the Libby Dam in 1972.

I was driving when we went through this area so I didn’t get to really see and experience it but we vowed to come back and I’m glad we did. The whole area is amazing, with wonderful energy.

There’s a long bridge spanning the width of the lake so we took it over to the other side.

The rock walls around here were incredible!

We took the boys for a walk before heading back over the bridge.

When we got back to the other side we ran across some wildlife!

What a special treat that was! Next stop . . . Eureka!
To be continued . . .
