Wow, it seems like Summer has already started. It’s 94 right now. I look at the 10 day weather forecast and it’s in the 90’s almost every day 😦 UGH. What happened to June gloom? Maybe that phenomenon doesn’t occur in the desert. Hmmm. I happen to like overcast days. They don’t seem to make me feel depressed like they do some people or at least I’ve never noticed it. Anyway, we don’t want to run the A/C all day so we’re hanging out on our upper patio. There’s usually a nice stiff breeze, albeit warm, but it helps nonetheless. Recently we hung out there with the great view and some nice 70’s music playing. We even danced to “Always and Forever”!

Max doesn’t like it up here unless there’s food to be had so he sprawls out under the rig in the shade. He looks disgusted doesn’t he? Mom, it’s SOOO hot!!!! Make it go away!!!

Last week was really hot too so we went to Temecula to hang out in air conditioned stores. For the first time ever Max went with us into Tractor Supply and Home Depot. We put him in the cart and he seemed to have a good time looking at everything. He was very behaved, as usual. He’s so calm and mellow which I’m very thankful for. Here at the Ranch there are always dogs out walking their owners. Max doesn’t bark when they pass by. He just calmly watches and sometimes whimpers. Some of the dogs here go nuts when we walk by and don’t shut up until we’re long out of sight. Max doesn’t respond to them either. Good boy Max!!! All that excitement just tires him out though. LOL

So, ice cream is probably our all time favorite food so we bit the bullet and bought an ice cream maker. We’ve made a few batches of vanilla so far. Besides the cream we make it healthier with almond milk, coconut sugar and honey and it has turned out SOOO good! It’s especially decadent with a splash of Kahlua or Chocolatini! Oh yeah!! We’ve shared it with several friends here and they have all raved about how delicious it is. SUCCESS!!! 

I’m pretty sure this is going to be a regular thing from now on. Can we say YUM!!!!?
