After Georgetown Lake we stayed the next three nights at Walmarts in Bozeman, Billings and Sheridan, WY. After our night in Sheridan we went to the Trail End Museum, an elegant Flemish Revival Historic House Museum, built in 1913, which was once home to Wyoming Governor and United States Senator John B. Kendrick who started out as a cowboy and make his fortune in cattle ranching. He later moved to Sheridan where he eventually found his way into politics.
What an amazing house! At least 90% of the furnishings, etc. are original and it has been kept as much in its original state as possible, with some renovation as necessary.

What a cool looking house huh?

The lady working there, Irene, was very nice too!

I loved the foyer. So elegant!

And what a staircase!!

It was fun imagining the people living there, working in the kitchen and around the house.

Take a look at this old stove! How would you like to cook on that??

Of course back then they had servants, who needed a place to sleep and use the restroom.

And do the ironing and such.

Then there were the other bedrooms.

The dining room was quite elegant too.

After dinner they might be entertained in the piano area.

Or retrieve a book from the library.

And retire to the living room.

But, when they wanted to really entertain, they had the lovely ballroom on the top floor!

This was my favorite part of the house. I could just imagine the room filled with people laughing and dancing the night away!
One final picture.

Interesting story and interesting family. Trail End Museum was definitely worth the visit!
To be continued . . .
