Gotta Love Walmart

May 22, 2021

After leaving Yellowstone we headed further north toward Montana. I was driving, which has become more frequent since Larry has discovered that the passenger seat reclines! He’s trying to claim this seat as his own. The nerve ;-D. It is pretty comfortable so I guess I can’t blame him.

So, while heading to our first stop, Bozeman, we drove through a HUGE swarm of black flying insects that went on for miles! Zoom in on the picture below and look closely at the windshield. Larry spent at least 45 minutes trying to get those critters off the front of the coach. UGH!

We found a Walmart Supercenter in Bozeman and found a spot on the outer perimeter to boon dock. Boy, were we surprised to find a park-like grassy area all around that whole corner of the lot! It was beautiful and great for walking the dogs, although we did have to watch out for poop bombs and critter holes. We stayed two nights but changed spots the second day when another RV left and we pulled up so that we stepped right out onto the grass. Don’t see that at Walmarts in Southern California! We also were able to pick up a few things we needed at the Walmart. Good deal eh? There were a LOT of folks boon docking there too, some in RVs, some in cars and some in pretty funky vans and buses.

To be continued . . .
