As I mentioned in a previous post, we acquired a second lot here at the Ranch to use as a rental but it did require a LOT of work. For instance, the concrete area was a complete mess as you can see here . . .

But, we had it ground, stained and sealed and this is how it looks now . . .

How about that for an improvement? We’re very happy with the way it turned out.
The build-out was a total disaster as well, overcrowded with excess furniture, left over belongings, dirt, spiders and cobwebs.

It was kind of cheesy looking with the white (and dirty) cabinet doors.

AND . . . the fireplace didn’t even fit in the cabinet.

How ridiculous looking is that? Well, one of the first things we did was solve that problem. What do you think?

I love the way it came out!! Doing tile is fun too.
We got rid of most of the furniture, which was old and/or rickety, and we were able to refurnish the entire lot with excess furniture from our lot (win-win!). We had quite a dilemma of how to get the curved seating down to the other lot but Larry came up with a brilliant idea! HA!

By the way, that white cart came with the other lot so we use it as a work cart :-D.
We were back and forth for over a month, at times thwarted by wind and rain, but we finally got the place painted and cleaned up.

Nice view huh! We didn’t get the best “after” pics, especially of the patio “island”. We did change out the cushions on the bar chairs to some awesome blue, white and yellow ones. Very cheerful and they perked up the look of the bar!
We were able to get it rented right away for long term, and … the renters LOVE it! Hooray!!
So, another project completed! Now we’re focusing on getting our lot organized. It’s still a work in progress but we’ve come a long way with it.
At the same time, we’ve been enjoying some beautiful weather and skies . . .

and some new visitors just outside our patio too!

Finally, for some reason Larry wanted me to include this . . .
Cheerio!
